Motifs

I love motifs. Re-ocurring themes sailing around through life's story. Yes, I love motifs.

IMPACT

Heidi was up visiting Joy today, it was good to see her again. The three of us can really get talking, somehow our conversation came around to songs we listened to as children, Steve Green being one of the cassettes we loved as children. Steve Green's songs were basically verses to tunes, and an excellent memorizing tool. And it's made me once again realize what an impact the music we listened too as children has had on my life. I believe when among life's bitters, music is one of the few remedy's; and the wonderful thing about songs is that you can sing them in your head even when you have to keep quiet. :)
I will ask Jesus to help me
To keep my heart from sin;
Ever reflecting His goodness,
And always shine for Him.

He Ain't Heavy, He's My Brother

The road is long
With many a winding turn
That leads us to who knows where
Who knows when
But I'm strong
Strong enough to carry him
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

So on we go
His welfare is of my concern
No burden is he to bear
We'll get there
For I know
He would not encumber me
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

If I'm laden at all
I'm laden with sadness
That everyone's heart
Isn't filled with the gladness
Of love for one another

It's a long, long road
From which there is no return
While we're on the way to there
Why not share
And the load
Doesn't weigh me down at all
He ain't heavy, he's my brother

He's my brother
He ain't heavy, he's my brother...
