ReplyDeleteI am not sure who the author is. The song is fairly old, we have had it on cassette tapes and in older music books, but I think its 1950s era.
ReplyDeleteOne spot on line attributed it to John W. Peterson, who wrote "Over the Sunset Mountain", "It took a mirace", and "Heaven Came Down".
I could believe him to be the author, because all these songs are written similarly -- have the same quality.
